Artink.Org considers art to not only be the things of paint, wood or stone made in the rappidly receading mists of time. If that's all you are interested in, then you would be better off going somewhere else. Nice of you to have dropped in, and for now GoodBye.

Still here,.....Thats nice to see, Ok here is a little run down about the place, and how we think, and what to do, and what's inside.

In this day and age the artist has at thier dissposal a much greater choice of both media and tools with to which to make art.

What is by some, seen today as just a glossy photo, or a computer generated image, a random splash of paint, a muaral painted on a wall, that is here today and gone tomorrow, or an animation, will in time be seen as an item worthy of having on dissplay in one's own personal space.

What makes art different from any other visual object, is that a little portion of the artist, and often a great deal of their time went into makeing the artwork a reality, and it's the way of things, that many artists alive today will never live to see just how much their work is appreciated by an ever growning number of admirerers.

It's the option of many, that images taken with a device that's only capturing a fraction of time and the effect that light has, as it plays on a solid object, should be treated as art. So if it is primarily photgaphy you are looking for then, Oops!,......You will not be completly warm and fizzy here.

Still here.... well! we are pleased, and now you get to find out that we, in fact, do not dissregard all photograhy; as many a photograph has had extensive post treatment, and that took both time and tallent, and of course it is only via a photgraphic image that a lot of to-days computer art can be seen, also it is via the medium of photograhy that in todays relatively modern age, anyone can preview a work of art, either because they just enyoy seeing it a few times, or some folks on the other hand, in order to have a reproducible copy to view any number of times, before eventually contacting the owner of the work, or their agent or representative so they can aquire the origianl.

It is the artist nature to want to create, and often the only thanks that is asked for, is an appreciative look or comment, and when they do get relative finacial reward for their efforts, it was only because some astute collector of art was willing to support the artist by paying for thier work, but the problem the artist usually has, is getting enough people to see their work in the first place.

Oh yes,............They have, or try to have, exhibitions, maybe have a website, get a bit of information about themselves scattered here and there, in print, or in cyberspace, and hope that whatever their dream is, that it'l come true.

So here you are, because either you stumbled here, or came with some intention, whatever the reason, you are always welcome, so..
Maybe you wish to just have a look at the random section, or you might want to look at works as they become viewable. or
You may be an artist looking for inspiration without having to load many web pages;
You may be an artist who would like their work seen where other artists show their's;
You may be somone interested in buying a particular work of art;
You may be a gallerty owner looking for that new tallent that has not yet come your way;
You might be looking for links to an artists site, or a way of getting in touch with the artist

Thus at Artink.Org our aim is to provide anyone interested in art and graphics, the ability to come to a place with a variety of artists, images, subject matter, media used and styles, for you to look at. In any event,we hope you find your stop over with us in your search of the web for this sort of thing a pleasant one.

Now if you're an artist you;

• Probably made images of your creations and,
• Probably have, or know someone who owns a camera, or has a scanner;
• Or you, have a protfolio already;
• Or you, may have a dedicated web site, and enjoy the attention, but would like more,( thats only normal),
• Or you do not, but you wish to show your work off, and with a bit of luck plug yourself into cyberspace somewhere, and you wouldn't say no to someone one day, and on your terms, maybe geting in touch with you to either, give them the chance to see your work up close and personal, or to the help you show your work in public, or even perhaps by giving you that folding stuff for it, that annoying requirement for raw materials that all artist need.

At Artink.Org we also try to provide the opportunity for those people who appreciate your artistic endeavors, and like your work, a chance to own any number of your master peaces that you have put so much of yourself into, and/or that you feel that you can part with.
