Note From the WebMaster.
I have been pestering an old friend that I have known for many years, and who used to hang around the place, and then went away, to send me in some photos of the art work that I so admired looking at, while sitting by the fireplace when I visited him, and watching how the paintings would change depending on the light. I told him he can have a special place here, as we go back a long way. So I asked him to send in a note of how he wanted his work, (that he has always been so shy about ) set out, and any comment he might wsh to add, and how to place any links.
So here are some of his artworks, I had to get this done as fast a possible before the spinal opperation takes place.
If you wish to look at these as a slide show of any of these, just look at the option to the right at the bottom of each page, and select, play or fullscreen.

G-Day, People
My old friend, at Artink.org, though at times he likes to poke fun at me, asked me the other day, because he knows I like to scribble, to send in some photos of the things I have done in the past.
Though I am not very good at photography, I did my best to collect a few photos of things I have done in the past, many of those things no longer exist, either because they were given away, or have been lost, or destroyed.
The thing about paintings, is that they're very hard to photograph, as depending upon the light they appear different. The way that I like to work, is to apply paint in such a way, so that the light at different times will change the painting's appearence and show up things that only become apparent in a particular light. Thats why I try to include hidden things, faces, and images, so that you can look many times and find different things. Sorry about some of the photos, my camera is very basic, and they never managed to turn out the same as in real life.
Thus I have included a few shots of each sometimes.I'll leave it to him to include any as he sees fit.
Some of them will look very damaged, and then appear a little repaired, this is because they had been lying at the back of a shed for some time. Water got in and rotted many of them, and the mould got to do them, but many were beyond repair. I did my best to clean some of them up.
From memory, I think, that I have given away probably about four or five, in the past. I only managed to find three as photos, and have included them just in case he wanted to put them on a page.
See here, here, and here.
Many drawings and scribbles from the past I have simply thrown away, and some paintigs just vanished. I did however find one scrapbook, that I had with me, on one of my many trips overseas, and is the only one that I haven't lost. In it I did some other scribbles, over the years.
MYFRIEND_PAPER
I've only painted rarely. The majority I've managed to find, from some of the first to the most recent.
I did my best to list them in as chronologically an order as possible, when I sent the images in.
Included also are a few photos of my Dowg, DowgA, DowgB, (She was going to be put to death by an animal shelter as no-one wanted her, so I adopted her and over the years has been a faithfull friend. I sent in two phots of someone who once trampled on my heart and took all the money that I made, and also a photo of a little one-room place; This is where I lived for some time. I left all the wealth I'd given away to her over a period of many years, as she would chase anything that was male, and I got sick of finding them in bed with her.
The first two are my earliest, painted at the age of five and six.
Then the following were painted during my secondary school years, up till the age of 15, at which time I was expelled. I guess I preferred going to the main city library, as back then before anyone had home computers, to search for informaion, before one could watch a video, or use things that now are commonly used discover anything, books where the only place look, and you could go from one topic to another much faster than at school, and the headmaster had allready brocken 7 canes on my fingers, while giving me ( what was stranely called Six Of The Best ), must have run out of bamboo, and told me never to come back.
So I went and worked in petrol station, saved every cent for about 10 months, for my third to somewhere else.
The last two I did in Switzerland, but most of the time I was busy doing other things, as there was so much to see all over Europe.
MYFREIND_EARLY
I did a few while living with the woman who just took, and because I was working so hard, so that she could afford to pay the building of a beautiful house, I did not have so much time to paint.
The man on the horse, and the houses at twilight are my interpretaions of two Old Masters, as having viewed so many paintings during my lifes travels I thought it would be fun to see if I could emulate the style. Some other ones I painted at that time have long gone.
Thus the two subjects in these paintings, are not my original ideas, but rather, I did them, because I liked the work two artists, who lived in the 1800s, and whose paintings hang in a museum in St Petersburg.
MYFRIEND_MID
All the rest, I did over the next few years.
The painting in the gilded frame was a thought of her, and came close to no longer existing like some of my other paintings. It's one painting with two sides; contains a conseqence and an option.
MYFRIEND_LATER-1 and
MYFRIEND_LATER-2
The last two photos, are the my grandmother, whom I nursed back to health, when at the age of 88, she got hit by a car, and I just happened to of been overseas on one of my many strays away from home and was visiting here, and a photo of her kitchen, I think there may be a scribble of its somewhere in one of my pages.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at them, because they're nothing very special, but my friend at Artink.org, reckoned that I should send them in. So here is basically, my life's work, or what there is left of it. I have not done anything new for many years now, and I have sent in little comments about some of them, and maybe my friend, if he has time, and his back is not too sore might find the time to put them in somewhere,if he can manage to update his site. I have heard, that it's quite possible that he will be shutting down the site soon for any new submissions, as he is unable to sit for very long, or stand for long periods either, due to a spinal injury that he sustained.
