About Uploading your Work

Please take a moment to read through these instructions.

However before you do take a quick look here before you read the rest.
You can still post but there have been some changes you should know about.

If you do not like our way of doing things, then we are sorry, but we do all this with our own limited free time, as we work long hours to keep this site running. and your submissions have to be manually entered , as in the past when we had the auto-load option enabled, there was a great deal of spam and blatant pornography uploaded.

At Artink.Org we also provide the opportunity for those people who appreciate your artistic endeavours , and like your work, a chance to own any number of your master peaces that you have put so much of yourself into, that you feel that you can part with.

Once you have read and understood these, then send your images using one or more of the following options.

1. All uploads are to be compressed (packed). you can zip, rar, tar, ace,.....etc ‘ An Option’ Here it is

2. To avoid your uploaded work being bounced back it is advisable to make any multiple packed archives no larger than 5Mb. Please upload to the mail box that most closely suits your subject matter, and pay close attention to subject header protocol.

3. It is (preferable) that you upload either .jpg (jpeg) or .gif inside your packed archives, .bmp files might be fine for your own use, but they are not a optimal web formate and will NOT! be shown, remember not everyone has the same speed as you might, and you do! want people to see your work, or you wouldn't have got this far in the reading.

4. To avoid the problems some people have had in the past with their messages having been eaten up by Spam filters and to avoid yourself being filtered out as a poster, please use the following header protocol.
( you can all blame the Spam mongers for this, but it really is designed to ensure that you get shown as soon as possible)

For those unsure what this means Header is Subject line

'Category'+'Your Name's Initials plus second letters'+'Part description' if its a batch of multiple packs+'date'
So if you wanted to display 50 of your oil paintings, and your name is
Sharon Seymour, and you are sending 40 packed archives to Artink.Org
You would make your header like this example.

Thus;
NonCompArt_ShSe_1X40_230705
NonCompArt_ShSe_2X40_230705 etc, till.....until the last of your packed archive would look like this,,
NonCompArt_ShSe_40X40_230705

And this you would send to, nca_4at@ etc., as seen below, "pity we all have to go to this much
effort to avoid the spam, but if you take a moment you will soon get used to it, and then you can
enjoy the looking".

5. You do not have to put anything into the mail text field, if nothing is seen by us when we process your packages for inclusion on the site, they will be shown as "Anon"

6. All images sent to us or sets of images sent that already contain any kind of watermark will be deemed to be property of the owner, and we acknowledge the right for the owner to request that their work be removed, this will be done at our earliest available opportunity. If however you are the Web Master of the site which contains a 'watermarked' image bearing your site's details and thus seen on our site, and you see that we have generated reciprocating visitor traffic for you, we ask that you include a link to us on your site.


7. If you are the original owner of the art work that your posted image displays, and you wish to have some information about you included beside your display, then please download this form and when you have filled it out, be sure to include it INSIDE!!!! one of your packed archives. This way people can contact you about any further information regarding your work. If you have chosen to include your email, or site link, or town or country, it WILL be visible. NO!!!!! other information about you that you have disclosed to artink.org will ever be made available to any other party ( We are never going to re-sell your email, we hate spam and respect a person's right to privacy). If you want to promote your work a little more, then here's a suggestion; People might like to know the size, so by adding the dimensions of your work inside the extra information part of the Artink_Info form that you might wish to include inside your zip's or rar's, you will be indicating it's potential as an obtainable original, and if you wish please also include the media used. i.e., 'air brush, or, watercolour+charcoal', etc

Thus we at Artink.Org ask you to please follow this protocol for the naming of the files that you submit for display here. Your artwork will be displayed as soon as we can manage. This allows for faster logical archiving and speeds up the process of removing your files from either the server, or the backupDB if and when you request.

So here is an example of an individual image file name,
,.........your art work was about the topic of,,,,
......Oh, Lets say a representation of snails after a big night in the cabbage patch.
And you are the 'up and coming' or 'legendary artist' called " Sharon Seymour"
so you would call your image whatever you called it, before sending to us you would add the prefix 'ShSe_'

8.Don't forget, If you would like the world to know a little about you, then you are welcome to add some brief information about yourself in the form if you choose to enclose it inside you 'zip' or 'rar'.
Please keep the 'About me' part short, and do not include anything about your physical site location.
Example,
a. Your home address.
b. Your phone number.

However you may provide,
d. Your Country
e. Your Town
f. Your Name
g. A Little About Yourself. Suggestions
h. Your Site Link. Conditions please read
